Journal 4 Photos

Possibly some sort of root. I am unsure whether or not it has been gnawed at or is growing up.  
This is outside of my area but I saw the squirrel inside my zone. This nest is just a glimpse of
 animal movement and interaction in this area.

Leaves changing colors.
More leaves changing color.  
Leaf to soil gradient.

Quite possible some deer tracks, although they seem to be a few days old.

Animal scat, I am prone to think deer based on size, shape, and the tracks form earlier.

Temperature: The temperature was between 52 and 44 degrees Fahrenheit.
